Destination Imagination (December 2022 - 22nd January 2023)
My group performed a theatrical act called "The Mystic Ride," which told the story of a human and its emotions conversing with the dead operator of a roller coaster. The play explored the thrill and risk factors involved in constructing the ride, with the human and its emotions serving as narrators throughout the performance. As a team member, to promote our act and introduce the characters to the audience, I designed these posters that captured the essence of the story and and showcased the characters. The posters showcased the play's themes and highlighted the unique elements of our production. Overall, "The Mystic Ride" was a memorable and engaging performance that demonstrated the power of storytelling and theatrical art.
As a composer and producer, I had the opportunity to create the soundtrack for "The Mystic Ride," our theatrical performance. Drawing on the themes of horror and anticipation, I crafted a unique musical experience that complemented the mood of the performance. Through careful composition and production, I was able to create a soundscape that was both eerie and engaging, capturing the essence of the story and adding an extra layer of depth to the overall experience. My contribution to the performance helped enhance the audience's engagement and further immerse them into the world of the Mystic Ride.
Thompson Disciples Team Logo
As a member of our team, I had the opportunity to design the logo for our group, which revolved around the theme of thrill engineering. Drawing inspiration from LaMarcus Thompson, the father of roller coasters, we incorporated his name into our team name to pay homage to his contributions to the field. I designed the logo to symbolize our team name, roller coaster element, and the concept of infinity. The bold lines and dynamic curves in our design were arranged to form an infinity loop, representing the infinite possibilities of roller coaster design and the boundless thrill it offers. Through careful attention to detail and creative design, I was able to create a logo that not only represented our team but also captured the essence of our theme and the limitless potential of thrill engineering.
